![]() ![]() We can use Torment in a Jar as our example. To view the RPPM of something you should first pull it up on Wowhead. If the proc is a damaging effect, it will typically be affected by Haste. The general rule of thumb is that if the effect increases your stats such as Haste, Crit, Mastery, Versatility, or Main stat, the effect will not be hasted. Zeal is an example of an attack speed modifier that will NOT increase RPPM. If an item has an RPPM of 2, and you have 25% Haste, the new RPPM of the effect would be 2 * 1.25 = 2.5 RPPM. RPPM can either be the base value listed on an item, such as 2, or it can be the base value + Haste. In its simplest form, if an item has 2 RPPM you could expect the effect to proc 2 times every minute. Real Procs Per Minute (RPPM) was added in Mists of Pandaria and took over percentage based procs. Ones that you can experience frequently will be listed below. To learn more about them you must search for deleted Blue posts, track down information in comments, or if you are truly adventurous, query WoW spell data. They are not in tooltips and are typically not documented anywhere in-game. There are also less obvious game mechanics. As you play the game and experience these mechanics you can describe them well. ![]() See the aura Custom Options.WoW has many game mechanics that we experience in Dungeons and Raids that require us to stack up, spread out, run in a circle, and many others that require our direct interaction. This WeakAura resolves all these problems by dynamically adjusting this spell queue window each time you log in OR change specs, to a value of your choice. The setting was (and still is) global, not per-character, making it annoying to set every time you re-log to a different character. It was hard to find a setting that worked well for both. More specifically, it worked well for melee, but not for casters, or if adjusted higher, the opposite was true. This worked well for some, and not for others. In Cataclysm, a slider was added in the game options to allow players to customize this timing window, and they recommended you put the slider to slightly above your actual latency. This is true for many other specs as well. This can be pretty annoying and can mess with your rotation. An unfortunate side-effect is that if you are a character with abilities that are cast very fast back-to-back, sometimes your character will perform attacks that you didn't want to, or, may make your abilities feel like they are responding sluggishly.Īs an example, Feral Druids with high haste, Heroism, and so on can sometimes cast 2x Shred instead of 1x Shred, even though you changed your mind and started mashing Ferocious Bite instead. This is a great feature introduced in patch 2.3.0 (TBC) and put an end to all casters needing to use /stopcasting macros and cast-bar latency indicators to perform properly. ![]() Spell Queuing is a feature that allows several spells to be queued up on the server - so that they can be executed immediately with no delay, regardless of how high your latency is. It was unfortunately removed in Legion because it was deemed "too confusing". This used to be an in-game option, starting in Cataclysm, in the form of a slider named "Custom Lag Tolerance". If you know how, please message me! More info for the curious: There is sadly no way that I know of, to make the change immediate. Remember that you have to change a talent, or change specs, or reload UI, for any changes to take effect. This aura comes with all specs set to the default value of 400, but as mentioned, you can go into the Custom Options and tweak this value individually for every single spec! The guidelines above are a good start, but do experiment. Generally, casters with few instant casts will be fine with the default spell queue window (400ms), while pure melee may desire a short window (150ms), and specs that blend between instant casts and long casts (Shadow Priests) may want a medium queue window (~250ms). This value can be customized individually for every spec in the game, in the auras Custom Options tab. This WeakAura will detect what spec you are playing and adjust something called the "SpellQueueWindow" to a customizable value. The ONLY WAY to reset the SpellQueueWindow option to default after you delete this WA, is to type in this command in WoW (any character): /console SpellQueueWindow 400 What does this do? Deleting the WeakAura DOES NOT UNDO THESE CHANGES, furthermore the Config.wtf file does NOT show this change either. ![]() PLEASE NOTE!! This WA makes permanent changes to your WoW Config.
